Wisdom Teeth Wisdom teeth are the third molars and usually appear between the ages of 17 and 25. They are commonly extracted when they affect other teeth—this impaction is commonly known as "coming in sideways." Most people have four wisdom teeth, but it is possible to have more or fewer.
Extractions A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, including tooth decay that has destroyed enough tooth structure to prevent restoration. Extractions of some permanent teeth to make space for orthodontic treatment is also routinely performed.
Bone Graft Bone grafting is the process of build up the bone in the site where a tooth was extracted from in preparation for a dental implant to insure success of the implant.
IV & General Anesthesia IV anesthesia is sometimes referred to as IV sedation and sometimes referred to as general anesthesia. Although technically not the same type of anesthesia that is given in a hospital setting for general anesthesia, patients have the feeling that they have been asleep for the duration procedure without the accompanying nausea.
Nitrous (Laughing Gas) Nitrous oxide (laughing gas): Nitrous oxide is given in the company of other anesthetic. Dr. Khanuja uses nitrous oxide for patients that are nervous or have a very sensitive tooth that needs to come out but dose not meet the health requirements to be sedated.
